Yes, you need your own boat and trailer for lessons. We have found lessons are most impactful when they are built around learning your specific boat and trailer setup. We are happy to travel to your home lake.

In North Carolina, drivers but be over 14 years old and hold a valid Boater Education Certificate if born after 1988.

Sessions will operate rain or shine. If the trip is cancelled due to storms or extreme weather conditions you may choose a full refund, gift card for the full amount or rescheduling your experience. If a partial session is cancelled a prorated refund or credit will be issued for the amount of time missed. Surf, Wake, & Ski reserves the right to make all inclement weather related decisions.
If cancelled 7 days or more prior you will receive a full refund (144 hours +), 4-6 or less days prior 80% of booking amount refunded (72-144 hours), 72 hours prior 50% refund, 24-48 hours prior 25% refund, less than 24 hours and no show will receive no refund. Credit card processing fees will not be refunded. Please call for extenuating circumstances and we will do our best to be flexible if possible.

No, our private driving lessons are not equivalent to the state required Boater Education Certificate. Our driving lessons are meant to be hands on and tailored to your vessel; to hone your skills and grow your confidence.

Nope! We are happy to travel to your home lake so that you learn on the water you will be on. We serve lakes in the greater Charlotte area, mainly Lake Norman, Wylie, Hickory and Badin.
